The National Museum of Antiquities

The National Museum of Antiquities brings antiquity and archeology to life. Everyone can enjoy the ancient civilizations from Egypt, the Classic World, the ancient Near East and the Netherlands in prehistoric times, Roman times and Middle Ages. In 2018 the museum will exist for two hundred years. The National Museum of Antiquities is located in Leiden. The museum calls itself the national center for archaeology, and focuses on the ancient Near East, ancient Egypt,  the classical world of Greece and Rome and the early (prehistoric, Roman and Medieval) Netherlands. There are also replicas, reconstructions, film fragments and interactive multimedia. During school vacations there are additional activities for children.
